review: wonderland wigs 3/4 hair piece.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a company called Wonderland Wigs. They asked me if I would like to be sent a 3/4 wig to review, and without hesitation I said yes. Wonderland Wigs are a company that specialise in synthetic hair pieces, from wigs to sets of extensions they have it all, and even cater for celebrities such as the cast of TOWIE!

I was thrilled to be asked to review one of their products. As someone who longs for longer, more volumised hair I often wear extensions on nights out, but had never thought of wearing a wig before. I was asked to choose one of the 3/4 wig* which came in an array of wonderful styles and colours. I normally curl my hair for nights out, but fancied a change when it came to choosing the wig, so I opted for a Flicked 3/4 hairpiece, which looked similar to the hairpieces that Vicky from Geordie Shore often wears on nights out. A hairpiece that gave lots of length and volume, and came in a gorgeous swooshy style that would glam up any outfit.

I received the wig within days of confirming my order, but was so disappointed as the colour match was completely wrong. My hair is a really dark brown (almost black), but the wig was a reddish, auburn colour. I loved the feel of the wig and the look (if only my hair would match it) but I emailed the lovely Mel (hi Mel, if you're reading!) and she immediately offered to swap the wig and re colour match it for me. I was so pleased with her quick response and really grateful that they could swap it over for me. The customer service I received was fabulous and after sending the wig back, my brand new, perfectly matching wig arrived!

As you can see the hairpiece is gorgeous. It looks really natural and flowing, and has a wonderful length, style and volume. It also feels super soft and my hairdresser mum commented on what a lovely shine it had, which is totally true as it glistens in the light and looks fabulous. The Flicked 3/4 Wig was priced at just £25.99 which is an absolute bargain, but they do have a range of more expensive wigs and cheaper hair pieces; something to suit everyone's budget! The wig has two snap bands to attach it to your head - you know the ones that your mother would squeeze into your head when you were in primary school - and is attached so easily.

I sectioned off the front of my hair including my fringe, and scraped the rest of my hair back. I did a little back-combing to make sure the top band would stay securely in place, and just simply slid the band into my hair. You can then do the same with the bottom band, and can either put your hair in a bobble and tuck it into the wig, or can pull it out and your natural hair can just blend in with the wig (this gives a more natural, fuller look). Then all you have to do is brush the rest of your hair back to cover the wig lining and style it and it's done! It's that simple.

I absolutely love the final look. If I could have hair like this every day I would. It looks fab and gave me the length and volume I so desperately want! I will admit I was a bit sceptical at first, as I had never worn a wig before and didn't want one that covered my head and made me feel hot and itchy, or one that looked fake and that would fall off if you did the slightest bob of the head in a disco - but I'm so pleased!

The wig does stay very secure, but I wouldn't recommend wearing it to a night out clubbing, just simply because it could possibly slip out of place and would look fake. Also, as my hair is quite flat and thin on top I found it quite heavy, so perhaps a half wig would have been better as it would have been lighter. But over all I'm delighted with it!

I would most definitely recommend Wonderland Wigs to anyone. Speedy sending, fabulous customer service and a top quality product - what more could you want!?

Have you tried any of Wonderland Wigs' products? Merry Christmas!
Lots of love, Jessie. xoxo
